Landing the Perfect Patty Flip

The Brief

The patty flip in the air shot was the hardest of them all.

We wanted to created a special Spec Ad for Beyond Meat Patties. No agenda, just plain and simple fun. A key shot that was integral to our expectations was getting the perfect patty flip.

The problem

The patty flip in the air shot was the hardest of them all. Lining up the talent to get the perfect flip and ensuring the camera tracked and maintained the focus led to 20 plus takes. However after trial and error, one shot will eventually make the cut. Resilience

Approach

We started off by a simple storyboard and getting all the essentials ready to prep for this shoot.

1. We wanted to experiment with food after all the beverages commercials we have been producing.
2. Our main approach was to show a recipe prepared from Beyond Meat Patties from start to finish
3. We included seamless transitions and dynamic camera movements to keep the viewer engaged.

The Result

• A video that shines in a recipe preparation with Beyond Meat that has a dash of flare from the seamless camera movements
